Information we collect
We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, phone number, appointment details, service and stylist selections, and information submitted through contact, consultation, or booking forms.
We may also receive basic technical and usage information, such as device and browser type, pages viewed, interactions with the website, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring pages, cookie choices, and analytics information.
How information is used
We use information to answer questions, present relevant services and availability, support the booking journey, prepare for appointments, improve the website, protect against misuse, measure advertising performance when permitted, and meet business or legal obligations.
We do not create a Square customer or appointment merely because you browse the website. Customer matching or creation, card-on-file processing, and appointment creation occur only when you intentionally complete the secure booking steps.
Analytics and advertising
With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand website use. Google Tag Manager helps deliver approved measurement tools, and Google Ads may measure whether advertising leads to meaningful website actions.
We may measure anonymous booking-funnel actions such as the service selected, stylist level selected, stylist selected, availability viewed, appointment time selected, and whether a booking form was started or submitted. When an appointment completed through Square is accepted, we may also send Google Ads the acceptance time, a one-way hashed version of the email address and phone number in the Square customer record, and a unique transaction reference. This server-side conversion measurement is used only when enabled and legally permitted; it does not send Google the customer's name, appointment notes, card information, or the raw email address or phone number.
Square and other providers
Square supports the salon's service catalog, availability, customer records, appointments, payments, and secure card tools. The website reads service and availability information from Square and transmits the information required to complete a booking securely to Square under Square's own privacy terms.
We also rely on website hosting, content delivery, security, analytics, and advertising providers. These providers may process limited information to perform services for us and are expected to handle it according to their agreements and applicable law.
Appointment protection and payment processing
When you submit an appointment request, Fernanda's Beauty Salon uses Stripe to securely collect and store a payment method for the cancellation, late-arrival, and no-show protection disclosed during booking. Stripe may collect payment, transaction, device, authentication, and fraud-prevention information in accordance with the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Your complete card number and card security code are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. Fernanda's Beauty Salon and the FBS booking system do not receive or store your complete card number or card security code. FBS may retain Stripe customer, payment-method, setup, and payment reference identifiers; limited card-display information such as brand and last four digits; the protected appointment and amount; the policy version and text presented; your acceptance date and time; delivery and payment results; and related refund, credit-conversion, or dispute records.
We use this information to:
- protect the specific appointment visit identified during booking;
- process an authorized cancellation, late-arrival, or no-show charge;
- provide receipts and customer support;
- reconcile a salon-approved payment credit or refund;
- prevent duplicate charges and fraud; and
- maintain accounting, audit, policy-acceptance, and dispute evidence.
Normal completed-service, retail, tax, receipt, and gratuity checkout remains processed through Square. If the salon approves use of a previously collected same-day no-show charge toward services performed later that day, FBS links the original Stripe payment to the performed visit and records the amount applied. Square collects only the remaining balance, retail purchases, applicable retail tax, and any voluntary gratuity.
We retain these records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including customer support, accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. Payment processors may retain information under their own legal and contractual requirements.
SMS/MMS and Mobile Information
Fernanda's Beauty Salon may use the mobile number you provide to send appointment-related SMS/MMS messages when you give the appropriate consent. These messages may include booking-request notices, appointment confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, policy-related notices, and customer-care communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that support delivery of the messaging service or when disclosure is required by law.
Opting out of SMS does not cancel, reschedule, or otherwise modify an appointment or booking request. Customers may continue communicating with the salon by phone or email.
Cookies and similar technologies
Necessary technologies support security, navigation, and your saved privacy choice. Analytics and advertising technologies remain off until you give the relevant permission. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, internet transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Payment-card details are handled through Square's secure payment tools rather than exposed to the salon website.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, salon operations, dispute prevention, security, accounting, or legal obligations. Retention may differ depending on whether information is held by the salon, Square, an analytics provider, or another service provider.
Children's privacy
The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. Appointments for minors should be arranged with a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child submitted information without appropriate permission, please call us.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can reject non-essential cookies, change your cookie choices, or use browser controls. Depending on applicable law, you may also ask to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, or object to certain uses. We may need to verify a request and may retain information when legally permitted or required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, salon services, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised date at the top identifies the latest published version.
